Up to $10 million of insurance coverage that you can rely on
MEDICAL AND DENTAL
>
Provides coverage for eligible hospital and physician's bills, and expenses resulting from an accidental injury, or new sickness or disease.
>
Paramedical services of a chiropractor, chiropodist, or physiotherapist up to $500 if required as a result of covered emergency.
>
Provides coverage for eligible emergency treatment up to $4000 for damage to your teeth as a result of an accidental blow to the face, and up to $500 for other dental pain. An additional $1000 of coverage is provided to continue treatment following your return to Canada.
>
Prescription medication coverage 30-day supply up to $1,000 after being discharged from the hospital following a covered emergency.
TRIP INTERRUPTION AND CANCELLATION
>
Trip Cancellation coverage for certain non-refundable, and non-recoverable pre-paid travel arrangements, if your trip needs to be cancelled before you leave due to an unexpected covered reason.
>
Trip Interruption coverage for the cost of transportation to continue your insured trip, or return to your province or territory of residence in the event your trip is interrupted after departure due to a covered reason.
>
Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage up to $10,000 in the event of death or serious injury from an accident.
TRANSPORTATION
>
Emergency transportation to the nearest appropriate medical facility or to a Canadian hospital.
>
Bedside companion coverage for up to two family members or friends to travel to you if their presence is recommended by a physician. Up to $5,000 for round-trip transportation, and up to $1,000 for accommodations and other eligible expenses.
>
Pet return coverage up to $500 for the cost of returning your accompanying dog or cat, should you need to return to Canada due to an emergency covered under the Emergency Transportation benefit.
>
Return of Deceased coverage up to $15,000 to return your remains to your province or territory of residence, or up to $4,000 for cremation or burial at the place of death.
CONVENIENCE
>
Meals and accommodation expenses up to $3,500 if you are hospitalized or delayed beyond the end of your trip because you or your travelling companion require covered emergency treatment.
>
Baggage and Personal Effects coverage up to $2,000 to replace your covered baggage and personal items if your baggage and personal items are delayed, damaged or lost while travelling.
>
Out-of-pocket expenses up to $350/day to a maximum of $800 for meals, telephone calls, internet usage fees and taxi fares if your trip is interrupted due to a covered reason.
>
Meals and accommodation expenses up to $300/day to a maximum of $1000 for commercial accommodations, meals, telephone calls, internet usage fees and taxi fares, when your trip is delayed beyond the expiry date due to a covered reason.
>
Return of Vehicle or Watercraft up to $4,000 for a commercial rental agency to return a vehicle or watercraft used for your trip it to its point of origin, if you are unable to return it due to a covered sickness or injury.
